Parker-Hannifin has announced the release of the HA Spool Sensing Valve, a new expansion of the HA Series ISO Valve Manifold that can mount directly on the manifold base or on top of the PXM pilot exhaust module. The new valve has single or double solenoid options, with PNP or NPN switching outputs, combined with M8 or M12 connector for easy installation, and a solid-state sensor that is integrated into the valve housing for single or double solenoid, 2 position HA valves in either Plug-In (ISO 15407-2) or Non-Plug-In (ISO 15407-1) base styles. It is suitable for use in safety circuits following safety related parts of control systems (SRP/CS) to EN ISO 13849-1 standards, and offers single channel feedback to the PLC. The HA Series Spool Sensing Valve permits enhanced control with the ability to create a pneumatic controlled safety zone without removal of PLC electrical signals or main supply pressure zone and maintenance flexibility is achieved when components downstream of the valve are depressurized and can be serviced without removal of manifold supply pressure. Additional safety can be achieved with two additional features: the HA Spool Sensing Only feature allows confirmation that the valve has shifted prior to performing a secondary operation, while the Spool Sensing + PXM when pilot pressure controls the operational shut down of several externally piloted valves in one zone or an entire manifold.
